20-time Grammy Award award winner Pat Metheny and his stellar Unity Group featuring Chris Potter (sax), Antonio Sanchez (dr), Ben Williams (b), and Giulio Carmassi (voice/misc instr.) will make their debut appearance at Ryman Auditorium on February 16th. The group will be performing music from the new recording (to be released on February 4th) which Metheny says “encompasses the entire range of things that I have done over the years, from Bright Size Life to Secret Story, from my group projects to the Orchestrion." The show will also include some selections that span the guitarist’s groundbreaking career. Pat remarked, "With this incredible group of musicians, just about anything is possible!”
The many awards Metheny has won throughout his stellar career include 20 Grammy Awards in 10 different categories, as well as dozens of other awards from JazzTimes Magazine, Downbeat Magazine, Guitar Player Magazine, Acoustic Guitar Magazine, All About Jazz, NPR, Boston Music Awards, Billboard Jazz Awards and many others. He has released 37 albums, including 3 Gold Records, and has sold over 20 million albums worldwide
