KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Police say they have found a 2-year-old Tennessee girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert safe in Ohio.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said on Thursday that Brooklynn Enix was found in Morrow County, Ohio, and her father, 36-year-old Tyler Ward Enix, was taken into custody. No further details were immediately available.
Knoxville Police Chief David Rausch told media that officers began searching for the father and child after finding the mother dead and the girl missing on Wednesday during a welfare check. Police later issued a warrant charging Tyler Enix with murder in the death of 36-year-old Kimberly Enix.
Rausch said the couple was in the process of divorcing.
