MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- A McMinnville area woman has been arrested in connection with the drowning death of her three year-old daughter.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says 22 year-old Samantha Brymer-Armstrong has been charged with one count each of child neglect and child abuse.
In early March, three year-old Kayleigh Armstrong was found in the family’s swimming pool. She was resuscitated at White County Hospital, but died the next day at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
Brymer-Armstrong reportedly told investigators that she was playing video games in a back bedroom with headphones on at the time, leaving Kayleigh unattended for more than an hour.
