Murfreesboro Police

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  The Bank of America on East Main in Murfreesboro was robbed Thursday afternoon and police hope you can identify the suspect from surveillance photos.

A teller at the bank says a man stepped up to her window Thursday afternoon at about 2:30 and handed her two, small, brown paper bags and a note demanding money.

The note said that the teller would die if the instructions weren’t followed. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled in what bank employees believe was a white mini-van.

The robbery suspect is described as a black male standing six feet-three inches tall, and weighing approximately 220 pounds. At the time of the robbery he was wearing glasses, a red shirt, and a black Chicago Cubs baseball cap.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect should call MPD Criminal Investigations at 615-893-2717 or Crime Stoppers at 615-893-STOP(7867).
