MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- The wife of now jailed Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold says her husband should not be behind bars.
In an interview with WTVF-TV Megan Arnold says her relationship with the Sheriff is like that of any normal couple. However, evidence heard in court suggests Arnold punched his wife and threatened to suffocate her back on Labor Day.
A federal magistrate earlier this week put Arnold in jail saying he’s a threat to his wife and a flight risk.
Arnold will likely remain in jail until his February trial on federal charges.
