Rutherford, Davidson Counties Crime-Spree Suspect Arrested

TBI

MURFREESBORO, Tenn (WMOT)  -- A Nashville man wanted in connection with a mid-state crime spree is under arrest.

Responding to a tip, Metro Police, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Marshals Service all converged on a home in the 800 block of Charlie Court in Nashville early Wednesday morning. They entered the residence at around 7:00 a.m. and arrested 20 year-old Tyler Fitzgerald Raybon-Tate without incident.

Authorities say Raybon-Tate and another suspect committed an aggravated burglary in LaVergne last Friday.  Metro police believe he’s also responsible for a carjacking in Nashville on Monday.

Raybon-Tate was on Tennessee’s Top Ten Most Wanted list, but the TBI’s Kristin Helm says he didn’t stay there long.

“We put him on the Top Ten list Monday afternoon after the carjacking happened in Nashville. We felt at that time that he really posed a threat to the public and law enforcement.”

Raybon-Tate faces charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated kidnapping, carjacking, evading arrest, failure to appear and two counts of violating community corrections. At the time of these latest incidents, he was out on bond for criminal homicide.
