Security on The World for 12-8

It's all about security today on The World.

We're digging in on a variety of stories around the broad theme of security. We'll be looking at everything from the botched attempt to rescue hostages in Yemen over the weekend, to home-grown jihadis in Canada, to trying to figure out how and why prisoners from Guantanamo Bay have ended up in Uruguay.

Marco also has an extended discussion with Gabriella Coleman about her new book about Anonymous. It's called "Hacker, Hoaxer, Whistleblower, Spy." That discussion is the perfect set-up for our week-long look at how a new generation feels about technology and its intersection with both personal and national security. Today, we profile Chris Doman, a cyber-sleuth in training at a British university.

We'll also tell you about an interesting art project which links up residents of New York and Tehran via telephone, and we'll also remember Ralph Baer, the man who invented one of our favorite childhood electronic games: Simon!
