MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- The National Weather Service says the mid-state may see some severe weather this afternoon and evening.
A strong cold front will move across Middle Tennessee today. Passing storms could produce strong straight-line winds, heavy downpours, and localized flooding. There’s even a chance of isolated tornados.
A wind advisory in effect today between 1 and 10 p.m. We could see gusts up to 40 miles per hour.
The weather threat is causing many mid-state communities to change their Halloween plans. WSMV says at least a dozen communities have already pushed trick-or-treating to tomorrow evening.
