The Rutherford County Sheriff's Department released the following statement at 1:06 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2015:
RCSO detectives and crime scene investigators spent four hours this morning recovering evidence at the county’s juvenile courts and detention facility, after several rounds were fired into it overnight.
The front entry area of the building, which houses courtrooms and clerk’s offices, was targeted. Several windows were broken.
