Stereotyping Ebola on the World for 10-3

Anyone who lives in Africa, stay there!"

It doesn't take a lot of searching on social media to find sentiments like that. The first diagnosed case of Ebola in the United States is proving divisive for Liberians and other West African communities in the United States. We'll hear from one young Liberian-American on what can be done to combat such stereotyping, and also more about her work in getting monetary help and aid back to Liberia.

Our man in Hong Kong, Matthew Bell, has the latest on the clashes between pro-democracy protesters and, well, no one's sure who exactly. Protestors are calling them "organized groups," but Matthew says it’s unclear who exactly they are.

We also have a couple of India-related items to round out our show today. First, Rhitu Chatterjee has filed an audio essay about the annual Durga Festival. And we'll introduce you to a musician who likes to take a unique (read funny) approach to the ancient art of Carnatic music.
