MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- If you’re traveling by air, expect long lines at Nashville’s International Airport.
Airport spokesperson Shannon Sumrall says BNA is expecting about a two percent increase in the number of people flying in and out of Nashville during the Thanksgiving week. She says the number of people hitting the airport this past weekend indicates a lot of travelers are taking off the entire week. But the worst is yet to come.
“We’re expecting large numbers tomorrow and first thing Thursday morning. After that it slows down, but be prepared if you are traveling in to Nashville and going back out, we are seeing our largest day will be this coming Sunday.
Sumrall suggests travelers check their flight’s status before heading to the airport. Arrive two hours early to clear security checkpoints, and remember that all of Nashville Internationals air carriers and the TSA will accept mobile boarding passes displayed on your smartphone.
