Suspect arrested in Murf. shooting that left two people wounded

.MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Police say they’ve arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting at a Murfreesboro apartment complex that left two people wounded.

Officials say 31-year-old Bandon D. Dukes has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Police were called to Altitude Apartments on Bradyville Pike Tuesday. Witnesses tell officers they heard shots and saw a dark colored SUV speeding out of the complex. The report says a thin, black male standing near the entrance to the complex opened fire on the vehicle as it sped away.

Later that evening officers located two people nearby suffering from gunshot wounds. Police say a woman found near the Rutherford Blvd. Walmart, and a man found at the Publix grocery store also on Rutherford had both been shot. There's no word as the extent of their injuries.

Dukes was arrested at a motel near I-24 just after midnight Thursday morning. He was booked into the Rutherford County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
