Talented singer/ pianist Freddy Cole takes time out to have Improvised Thoughts with Beegie Adair

Next time on Improvised Thoughts with Beegie Adair we spend some time with singer/pianist Freddy Cole in a program first heard in 1993.  He was in town for a performance at the World Baptist Center and was kind enough to give us some time to chat about a new album he'd just released, "Freddy Cole Live at Birdland West."   Documenting his concert and nightclub performances during 1992 and '93, the CD featured an outstanding band including, among others, Red Holloway (sax) and Jerry Byrd (guitar).  The disc is a collection of a dozen gems including two original nods to his brother Nat ("He was the King" and "I'm Not My Brother, I'm Me").

Join us for Improvised Thoughts with Beegie Adair and our very special guest Freddy Cole!
