Tenn Couple Waives Hearing in Child Selling Case

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A Tennessee couple charged with selling their children to a sex film ring has waived their right to a detention hearing and will remain in custody until the case is completed.

The Citizen-Tribune reported (http://bit.ly/1gpUvFF ) that 40-year-old Connie Sue McCall and her husband, 61-year-old Ronnie Lee McCall bypassed a hearing in Greenville on Tuesday.

A federal grand jury charged the McCalls with selling children for the purpose of creating child porn and other sex-related charges.

The alleged sex-related sale of their minor children was not final. At the time, their daughters' approximate ages were 5, 11, 14 and 16.

Washington County prosecutor Anthony W. Clark says the man who allegedly had sexual contact with the underage girls and filmed the encounters committed suicide.
