NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  If you’re a fan of the show “America’s Got Talent” then you’re likely familiar with The Texas Tenors.

The Texas Tenors are a self-described “classical crossover trio” formed in 2009 and featuring country artist J.C. Fisher, pop vocalist Marcus Collins, and opera singer John Hagen.

The trio are set to perform tomorrow evening at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.  Marcus Collins says the group has now performed more than 800 times nationwide and in several countries.

He says it may come as something of a surprise to Tennesseans that Chinese audiences were especially fond of Rocky Top.

“Music is the international language, and so no matter where we go people have a good time, especially with Rocky Top. I think China was one of the places that appreciated Rocky Top the most. They were out dancing in the aisles and it was really something to see.”

Collins says The Texas Tenors have spent a lot of time in Nashville recently, but tomorrow night’s performance will be their first in the mid-state.
