THP Identifies Body Found Along Interstate-40

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Highway Patrol has identified the body of a man found on Interstate 40 in Roane County on Christmas Day.

Investigators told the Knoxville News Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1dcPqMS) that the man was 42-year-old Brian William Taylor of Heath Springs, S.C.

The highway patrol says it received a call early Wednesday that a body of a man in his 40s had been found on the eastbound lanes of I-40 at mile marker 364.

A preliminary investigation indicates Taylor either jumped or fell from a moving vehicle and his body was then struck by at least one other vehicle. There were no vehicles found near the victim.

THP's Criminal Investigations Division said they continue to investigate the death and "explore every possible scenario, including foul play."
