Three days, three armed robberies in Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  There’s been a string of armed robberies in Murfreesboro in the past few days.

Police say that JD’s Market on Maney Ave. was robbed at gunpoint on Saturday. The clerk told police the robber was wearing all black and had his hands and face covered.

On Sunday, three different residents at the University Ridge Apartments near Middle Tennessee State were robbed minutes apart at gunpoint. In two cases the robbers forced their way into the resident’s home.

Yesterday evening a Murfreesboro man reported being knocked to ground by a blow to the head from behind as he he left the South Rutherford Blvd. Walmart. The man tells police his assailant then rifled through his pockets, stealing his cash before fleeing.
