Ticket Give Away for Gateway Chamber Orchestra Nashville Appearance

The Gateway Chamber Orchestra will be presenting a concert in Nashville on Monday, February 9th at 7:30 pm.  The porgram will be presented at the Masonic Grand Lodge and you can find tickets at Gatewaychamberrchestra.com.  The program consists of Mozart's Symphony No. 32 in G, Theofanidis's Visions and Miracles and the Mendelssohn Symphony no. 3 in A minor, "Scottish".

The grandeur of Mendelssohn’s masterful Scottish Symphony will bring to the stage the largest incarnation of the GCO yet. Mozart’s youthful Symphony No. 32 sets the stage for the energetic and hypnotic string writing in Visions and Miracles by GRAMMY®-nominated American composer Christopher Theofanidis.

The Gateway Chamber Orchestra is quickly emerging as one of America's leading ensembles. Conducted by Gregory Wolynec, the GCO specializes in the programming of masterworks of the past and present. The ensemble gave its debut in the fall of 2008 and is comprised of the talented performance faculty of Austin Peay State University and fellow professional musicians from Nashville and beyond. Their recordings have been lauded by the American Record Guide, Fanfare Magazine, and SA-CD.net among others. Performing regularly in APSU’s acoustically splendid concert hall and other venues, the GCO has presented works ranging from contemporary American composers William Bolcom and Ellen Taaffe Zwilich to traditional repertoire by Schubert, Mozart, and Haydn.

We will have some tickets to give away this week.
