NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — It’s bowl season and the mid-state will be in the thick of the action.
Officials with the Music City Bowl announced last night the game will feature the Mississippi Rebels and Georgia Tech on Dec. 30.This will be the Rebels' second Music Bowl appearance, the first for Georgia Tech.
Middle Tennessee State was invited yesterday to the Armed Forces Bowl, also to be played on Dec. 30. This will be MTSU’s eighth bowl game and pits them against Navy. The contest will air on ESPN and ESPN Radio.
WTVF-TV says Vanderbilt will play the Houston Cougars in the Birmingham Compass Bowl January 4. This will be the third straight bowl bid for Vanderbilt and the fourth in six years. Kickoff is set for noon.
