Two overnight armed robberies reported in Murf.

MPD

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  A pair of armed robberies in Murfreesboro have left one man seriously injured.

Middle Tennessee State University student Zachery Brandon, 21,  tells police he was sitting in his car in the parking lot of the College Grove apartments just before midnight on Tuesday when an armed man pointed a gun at his head and demanded money. The gunmen escaped with about $100.

Bradon described his assailant as a black male standing approximately five feet-eight inches tall and weighing roughly 185 pounds. The suspect was bald and had a tatoo on the right side of his neck.

About three hours later Montrez Buchanan, 21,  heard glass shatter outside his Tremont Dr. apartment and ran outside to find two men burglarizing his car. He scuffled with the men and shots were fired.

Buchanan was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center with wounds to his left hand and leg. There's no word yet on his condition.

No description of Buchanan's attackers is available. MPD detectives are investigating both incidents.
