MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- Murfreesboro Police say they found two people wounded following a shots-fired incident at an apartment complex on Bradyville Pike Tuesday night.
A report on the incident says police were called to Altitude Apartments on Bradyville just after 9 p.m. Witnesses tell police they heard shots and ran outside to see a dark colored SUV speeding out of the complex. The report says a thin, black male wearing athletic shorts and a gray hoodie and standing near the entrance to the apartments opened fire on the SUV as it fled.
Police say they questioned a man at the complex who matched witness descriptions, but no arrests have been reported.
Police say a few minutes later they found two people nearby suffering from gunshot wounds. They say a woman found at the gas station in front of the Rutherford Blvd. Walmart, and a man found at the Publix grocery on Rutherford had both been shot.
There’s no word yet today on their conditions and no names have been released. MPD detectives are investigating.
