MPD

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Police say they’ve now arrested the fifth and final suspect wanted in connection with an altercation that left a Murfreesboro man with a gunshot wound to the face.

Police took four suspects into custody just hours after the Wednesday afternoon shooting, including Deante Lawrence, Devonte Lawrence, and Lamonte Johnson all 20 years of age, along with 18 year-old Walshaude Vaughter.

Police says they’ve now also arrested 18 year-old Kourtland Johnson of 720 E. Castle Street.

All five face a charge of Especially Aggravated Robbery. Vaughter and Kourtland Johnson also face charges of Attempted First Degree Murder.

Police say they responded to a shots fired called at the basketball court at E. Lokey Ave. and Christy Ct. just before 1 p.m. They found Darryl Rouse suffering from a single gunshot wound to the face. Rouse was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center by LifeFlight helicopter.

Information about the extent of Rouse’s injuries have not been released.
