UPDATED: Small Plane Crashes Outside YMCA in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP/WMOT) — It appears now that the four people killed in Monday evening’s crash of a small plane near the  Bellevue YMCA were all members of one family.

KWCH-TV in Kansas City has identified the victims as Glen and Elaine Mull, their daughter Amy Harter and her daughter Sami. They were reportedly headed to a convention at Gaylord Opryland.

WTVF-TV quotes the Nashville fire department saying debris was strewn over about an 80 yard area. Some cars near the YMCA were damaged in the crash, which was reported around 5 p.m.

The YMCA was not damaged, but about 300 people were evacuated as a precaution. The facility will remain closed today.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the plane is a Gulfstream 690C that departed from Great Bend Municipal Airport in Great Bend, Kan., and crashed 10 miles south of John C. Tune Airport in Nashville.
