Vanderbilt’s Cinderella Season

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (BEASLEY)  --  For the second consecutive season under Head Coach James Franklin, the Vanderbilt Commodores are bowl eligible once again.

With wins over Missouri, Kentucky, and a come from behind victory over Ole Miss this weekend, Vanderbilt has found consistency in the South Eastern Conference.

Much of the success can be credited to the leadership of quarterback Jordan Rodgers, who 's shy of 2,000 passing yards on nine touchdowns and only three interceptions.

Rodgers' favorite target, Jordan Mathews, eclipsed the 1,000 yard receiving mark last Saturday, and currently has 70 receptions on the season.

This Saturday, Vanderbilt (6-4, 4-3) will invite Tennessee (4-6, 0-6) into Nashville, in hopes ending the Volunteers' hope for a bowl game, and adding to the already impressive Commodore season.
