A VERY busy weekend for Murfreesboro Police

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  It was a busy weekend for Murfreesboro Police.

The MPD reports there were four armed robberies in the city during the period between Friday morning and Sunday night. Those robberies included one incident in which a woman reported having her illegal drugs stolen while trying to sell them and an unrelated incident where a man reported having his money stolen at gunpoint while trying to buy drugs.

There were also 3 Simple Assaults recorded, 2 Unattended Death investigations, a Sexual Assault, a report of Elder Abuse, and a stabbing at the Campus Crossing Apartments that border Middle Tennessee State.

There was also a report of a man accidently firing a shot inside the new Walmart just off of South Church Street. He dropped a fanny pack that contained his pistol. Police noted that he had a concealed carry permit.

And finally, 22-year-old Shelbyville man was arrested for indecent exposure and vandalism after police found him standing naked alongside Halls Hill Pike, waving an American flag. The man told police he was celebrating Floyd Mayweather’s boxing victory. Turns out he tore the flag off a nearby home.
