State officials say elections offices across Tennessee will host outreach programs today to inform voters about a new requirement.
A state law that takes effect Jan. 1 requires voters to show valid photo identification at the polls.
State election officials believe this is the first time in Tennessee history that such an education project has been held n all 95 counties on the same day.
Rutherford County has scheduled its meeting for 5:30 this evening at the County Courthouse.
The law has become controversial because some state driver's licenses do not have a photo of the driver.
