MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- The latest forecast from the National Weather Service says Middle Tennessee could see some snow accumulation this weekend.
Earlier this week the Nashville Weather Service office told WMOT the mid-state would likely see snow showers Saturday and Sunday, but little or no accumulation. Now Meteorologist Brittney Whitehead says some of that white stuff just might stick.
“For the northern tier of counties in Middle Tennessee we could see some light accumulations. It’s a little far out to really pin point exactly what’s going to happen, but maybe half an inch or less for the northern counties.”
Whitehead says we can also expect today’s colder temperatures to continue for at least the next week. We’ll see daytime highs in the upper 30s to low 40s with overnight lows in the 20s.
That’s about ten degrees cooler than the average for November in Middle Tennessee.
