Weather Service Warns Rough Weather Ahead for the Mid-State

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  The Weather Service says two storms fronts will move through the WMOT listening area in the next few days that mid-state residents need to keep an eye on.

The first system is expected to pass through Middle Tennessee Thursday night beginning around midnight. The Weather Service says the primary threat from this first system is damaging straight-line winds.

A second round of strong storms are forecast to pass through the mid-state beginning Sunday night and continuing through Tuesday morning. Monday afternoon and night could see the worst weather.

The Weather Service says supercells embedded in that system could produce large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornados.
