Will Celebrity Journalists Interest You in Climate Change? On The World for 4-11-14

PRI's The World - with Host Marco Werman

Can Matt Damon and Harrison Ford make you care about climate change? More on that in minute.

First, though, we want to take you to Donetsk in Eastern Ukraine where a stand-off continues between pro-Russian activists and Ukrainian security forces. The back-and-forth comes as Europe and Russia haggle over gas and oil, and analysts try to figure out whether or not there has been a Russian military build-up along the border with Ukraine.

Also, this weekend, a new series starts on Showtime digging into global climate change. We'll speak with New York Times columnist Tom Friedman, who is also involved in the project.

Plus, our reporter Sonia Narang is in Lahore, Pakistan for the first time. Her father was from Lahore, so it's something of a homecoming for her. We'll see the city through her eyes, and on our website through her camera lens, near the end of the show.
