Women’s Groups Mean Business in December Clothing Drive

Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) and the Murfreesboro chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) are joining forces to collect business clothing for women in need.

WISE encourages the public to drop off new or gently used “business casual” attire and accessories this week at four MTSU locations: the lobby of Monohan Hall, in front of Room 317 in Todd Hall, Room 111C in the Wiser-Patten Science Building, and the lobby of the James E. Walker Library. (A printable campus map is available at http://tinyurl.com/MTParkingMap12-13.)

In addition, AAUW will take donations at its monthly meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13. All items then will be distributed to Greenhouse Ministries, the Goodwill Career Center and the Domestic Violence Program, Inc.

WISE also invites students to stop by Monohan Hall at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, for free breakfast goodies and information about WISE and AAUW.

For more information, contact Kellum Everett, WISE president, at kke2h@mtmail.mtsu.edu, or Dr. Tanya Peres, president of AAUW Murfreesboro, at 615-904-8590 or tanya.peres@mtsu.edu.
