The World on the End of the Hostage Situation in France on 1-9-15

French security forces ended twin sieges involving the suspects in the Charlie Hebdo attack and another man who French officials say was linked to the attackers. Police raided both sites, killing all three of their targets and apparently rescuing all of the hostages.

At an industrial zone in Dammartin-en-Goele, northeast of Paris, Said and Cherif Kouachi appeared to be barricaded with a hostage. The two men killed 12 people on Wednesday at the offices of Charlie Hebdo, a satirical French weekly.
