4-H Livestock Competition Held on the MTSU Campus

Franklin resident Blake Bowman leads his 1,300-pound Black Angus steer, “Black Smoke,” into the show ring at MTSU’s Tennessee Livestock Center.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Hundreds of young people from more than 50 Tennessee counties are in the Mid-State this week to show their animals at the 4-H Junior Livestock Exposition.

The competition is being held at the Tennessee Livestock Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University through Thursday.

Houston Herbert is showing two steers and a heifer in the event.  Herbert attends Page High in Williamson County.  He says show day is the easiest part of the experience.
