Support MTSU Art Scholarships at Seasonal Exhibit and Sale Through Dec. 4

MTSU’s Department of Art is continuing its successful Art Scholarship Seasonal Exhibit and Sale with a fundraising event set through Wednesday, Dec. 4.

The exhibit and sale, begun in fall 2008 as an effort to raise funds for various scholarships within the department, is underway in the Todd Art Gallery today and tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

MTSU Students’ Award-winning Documentaries to Screen Free on Campus Dec. 2-3

The MTSU community can enjoy an award-winning trio of documentary films created by a dozen MTSU students at free campus screenings Dec. 2 and 3 in the Student Union.

The documentaries, which were the products of a summer Documentary Program Abroad trip to Florence, Italy, took top prizes at the recent ArtLightenment Festival in Nashville.

MTSU Mass Comm Class Creates Innovative Media Outlet for Student News

A class of MTSU mass communication students unveiled their newest media entity Tuesday when they announced plans for the upcoming Bragg Innovative News Network, which is set to go live on Dec. 2. 

Members of the Advanced Multimedia Journalism class taught by assistant professor Robert Jasso announced the media project, which will focus on long-form journalism and combine news from existing MTSU student media — Sidelines, MT10 TV and WMTS 88.3 FM — into a single format.

The Young Africans Choir will be Performing in Murfreesboro

The Young Africans are a gifted group of singers, musicians and
dancers who were all once a part of the world-renowned African
Children’s Choir.

Now 20-22 years old and more talented than ever, they are poised to
fulfill their promise and make a difference in their communities back
home.

Concerts are free and open to all. A free-will offering is taken at
the performance to support programs such as education, care and relief
and development programs.
