Free Mississippi John Hurt Tribute Concert Takes Place Tonight

The James E. Walker Librarywill host a concert in tribute to Mississippi John Hurt at 6 p.m. Friday, March 30, in the library’s first floor atrium. Doors open at 5:30. This event is free and open to the public.

The Fedora Brothers, also known as Bruce Nemerov and Gene Bush, will perform numbers made famous by the blues legend to mark the closing of an exhibit currently on display in the Walker Library.

King's Singers to Perform Concert of Works Based on the Lord's Prayer

On Saturday, March 24, 2012, GRAMMY® Award-winning vocal ensemble The King’s Singers will present “Pater Noster - A Choral Reflection on the Lord’s Prayer” at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville. Set to begin at 7:30pm, the concert will be recorded for the ensemble’s debut release on the Naxos label.

Graduating Seniors’ Art on Exhibit at MTSU’s Todd Gallery

Join the MTSU Art Department for the first of the spring semester’s Bachelor of Fine Arts Candidate’s Exhibits, “Still Working,” on Monday, March 19, in the University’s Todd Art Gallery.

The exhibit, which will include an artists’ reception on March 19 at 6 p.m. in the Todd Gallery, runs through Thursday,March 22. It features work by Cullen McMackins, GT McMahon, Rhett Moser, Jennifer Baker and Dave Rollins.
