‘Angels in America’ Takes Wing April 4-7 at MTSU’s Tucker Theatre

MTSU’s Department of Theatre and Dance will present part one of Tony Kushner’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Angels in America: Millennium Approaches” April 4-7 in Tucker Theatre.

Deborah Anderson will direct the compelling production, and the curtains will go up at 7:30 nightly.

Egyptian Playwrithgt at MTSU: The Arab Spring and After

El-Husseini will discuss his recent play Comedy of Sorrows (Commedia Al-Ahzaan), written after the Egyptian revolution of 2011. Scenes from the play will be read by professional actors.  The event is part of a Vanderbilt series related to the “Arab Spring” that  includes a dramatic reading of the entire play at Vanderbilt’s Sarratt Cinema at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4 at 7:00.

First Look Screening of The Miracles on Honey Bee Hill

As a part of MTSU’s “SpringOut” festivities, MT/Lambda invites everyone to a First Look screening of the new short film, The Miracles on Honey Bee Hill.  The 20-minute movie addresses the issue of marriage equality.  The screening is in the Business and Aerospace Building, State Farm Room, at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 29thon the MTSU Campus.  Writer/director (and MTSU Professor) Bob Pondillo will be on hand to visit and answer questions afterwards about the “work –in-progress.”  The screening is free and open to the public.
