Guitar virtuoso Jason Vieaux has won the 2015 Grammy Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo for his album Play. This is Vieaux's first Grammy nomination and win. Released on Azica Records in January 2014, the album celebrates Jason Vieaux’s 20th anniversary as a performer by featuring the Spanish, Mexican, South American, Cuban, French, and American classics that Vieaux has found to be universal audience favorites over the past two decades.

When naming Inon Barnatan as first Artist-in-Association of the New York Philharmonic, music director Alan Gilbert described the Israeli pianist as “the complete artist: a wonderful pianist, a probing intellect, passionately committed, and a capable contemporary-music pianist as well.” Now serving his inaugural season in the unprecedented new appointment, Barnatan will make his concerto debut with Gilbert and the orchestra next month, giving performances of Ravel’s Piano Concerto in

This personal album, described as “pure matter of the heart” (Concerti), captures Zorman's unique communicative power, revealing astounding artistic maturity along with an impressive range of repertoire interests and technical refinement.

Concert pianist Adam Clark, a new faculty member in MTSU’s School of Music, will include “some of the great masterworks of the classical piano tradition” in his first solo concert at the university Monday, Feb. 9.

Tennessee Valley Winds Community Concert Band Performance
