Nashville Jazz Orchestra: A tribute to Billy Adair

A Tribute to Billy Adair:
In honor of the late, loved Blair Big Band director Billy Adair, the Nashville Jazz Orchestra spotlights guest artists who honed their craft under Adair's expert tutelage. Performers include Sarah Edmonds, Liz Johnson, Molly Jewell, Sarah Williams and Matt Belsante. The show will be held April 27th from 6-8 PM at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University.  Ticket prices are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and Vanderbilt faculty and staff, and free for students with ID.

The Nashville Jazz Workshop and the Frist Center for the Visual Arts announced the eighth season of the popular jazz performance and education series, Jazz on the Move. Each installment features a lecture and performance highlighting a major figure or period in jazz history. Presented by Nashville’s top jazz artist/educators, the series offers audiences world class music as well as an opportunity to learn more about jazz.
