MTSU Arts wraps up Febuary and kicks off March with the theatre production of Amen Corner. Sunday March 2nd begins an incredible week of music on the MTSU campus that includes the MTSU Symphony Orchestra concert and Brass Chamber recital on Sunday.

Come see a contemporary Jazz Concert by the Jerry Tachoir Group, featuring music from their newly released CD - The Jerry Tachoir Group "Stories" on the Avita Jazz label. Proceeds will benefit the Holy Name Church. The featured Musicians are: Jerry Tachoir - vibraphone, Marlene Tachoir - piano, voice, Roy Vogt - bass, Rich Adams - drums. There will also be a Meet and Greet reception after the concert included in the ticket price.

A native of Pittsburgh, Mr. Moore lived and performed in the New York Metropolitan area for a number of years and now lives in Nashville. His fluid, inventive and authentic style attest to the thoroughness of his background in Jazz, R&B and Pop music. An accomplished composer as well as a master technician, Mr. Moore has composed a repertoire of original tunes. Come see Geary Moore live this Friday February 28th from 6-8 PM at the Frist Center.
From 1994, prolific pianist, composer, bandleader and six time Grammy Award nominee Fred Hersch joins us on Improvised Thoughts with Beegie Adair. We'll hear selections from one of 3 CDs he had newly released at the time - his '94 recording "The Fred Hersch Trio Plays Coleman, Coltrane, Davis...". Inventive versions of "Moment's Notice," "Doxy," "Mood Indigo" and "Evanessence" (his own nod to Bill Evans) are the songs he'll share along with the support of trio mates Drew Gress (bass) and Tom Rainey (drums).
