MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Tennesseans are a week away from one of the most dangerous driving days of the year.

Officials have started referring to the day before Thanksgiving as Blackout Wednesday, because of the number of impaired drivers on the road.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving says the number of people killed in drunk driving crashes over the Thanksgiving holiday spikes by 30 percent compared to the rest of the year.
