KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — University of Tennessee Police have cited a dozen people for underage consumption of alcohol after a fraternity member was treated at the UT hospital for alcohol poisoning.
According to The Knoxville News Sentinel, those cited included 11 members of the campus Pi Kappa Alpha chapter and one guest.
Mark Broughton says his son, Alexander, was released from the hospital Sunday and is now back in class. The 20-year-old UT freshman ended up in the ER Saturday night with a blood alcohol level of 4.0, several times the legal limit.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A fraternity at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville has been suspended while campus police investigate an alcohol-related incident that left one student in critical condition.
According to a UT police department incident report obtained by The Knoxville News Sentinel, an unresponsive 20-year-old man was brought into the UT Medical Center early Saturday.

In a statement to police, 24 year-old Fayetteville, Tenn., resident Logan William Horton says that early on the morning of February 19 he was assaulted while attending a party at the Middle Tennessee State University chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house.
