MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- Eleven vehicles were burglarized in Murfreesboro yesterday, but police made an arrest that may at least slow the recent rash of thefts.
Early yesterday morning a Murfreesboro patrolman says he spotted a man in a car in the parking lot of the Nottingham Apartments on Greenland Drive. When confronted, the officers says the man fled on foot but was soon captured.
Police have now identify the suspect as 29 year-old Brian Terry Helton of Woodbury.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — A one-time youth pastor from Shelbyville has been sentenced to three years and four months in federal prison for possessing child pornography.
U.S. District Judge Harry S. "Sandy" Mattice could have leveled a 20-year sentence on 38-year-old Joseph Todd Neill on Monday for downloading "violent" and "sadistic" prepubescent child pornography on his home computer.
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WEST) -- Walking in to the livestock barn at Middle Tennessee State University, Gene Glasscock and Noquah Elisi sat in worn lawn chairs with their dog Bell in front of their home for the next few months.
Elisi, 61, playfully swatted at Glassclock, 79, as they joked about their time on the road as newly wedded couple.
“Now I liked to be bossed around, and she does the bossing,” Glasscock laughed under his wide brimmed hat. “But really it’s an exercise in bringing two people together.”
